Aqua Alta in San Marco
Anyone been to Venice lately? I've been watching the webcams because in a few weeks, I'll finally make my 2008 trip to La Serenissima -- and I've been seeing a lot of acqua alta in San Marco, as shown in this photo.
Anyone know what's going on?

I've been paddling in Venice two to three days a week for most of September, and there has been no extraordinary high tides. It has been raining quite a bit some days, though.
